Wholesale Distribution – Purchasing products for my resale business
How do I purchase from Essendant?
If you are interested in purchasing product and becoming a wholesale distribution customer, please click on the Get Started link and fill out the form to begin the process. In the How can we help you? drop-down list, select “I’d like to purchase products for my resale business”. Our customer care team will review your information and be in touch within 72 hours.
Can I make one-time or bulk purchases?
Essendant only sells to active customers. All accounts have consistent monthly minimums that need to be met for the account to remain active. Occasional bulk purchases or one-time buys do not satisfy that requirement.
How do I get pricing or quotes?
Essendant only provides customer-specific pricing and quotes to active customers. If you’re interested in an account, click on the Get Started link and fill out the form. Select, “I’d like to purchase products for my resale business” in the How can we help you? drop-down list.
How can I get product information or see your product lines?

I applied for an account but have not heard anything. Where can I follow up?
You should receive a response from us within 72 business hours. If you have not heard from us, please check your spam or junk folder.
How long does it take for an account to be set up?
If you are approved for a formal account application, we will send it to you within 72 business hours. If the formal application is returned with accurate and complete information, we can often get final credit approval and an account created within a few days. Any missing or incorrect information will delay the process.
I was referred by a manufacturer to buy their products from you. How do I do that?
If you are interested in becoming a customer, please click on the Get Started link and fill out the form. Select, “I’d like to purchase products for my resale business” in the How can we help you? drop-down list. Essendant only sells to active customers who are resellers. All accounts have consistent monthly minimums that need to be met for the account to remain active.
We had an account, and it is now inactive. How do we reactivate it?
All requests to reactivate prior accounts are treated as new account requests. If you are interested in purchasing from us again, please click on the Get Started link and fill out the form. Select, “I’d like to purchase products for my resale business” in the How can we help you? drop-down list.
Why did I receive a denial email?
If you’ve submitted the form and received a denial email, it means your business does not meet the requirements to become a wholesale distribution reseller at this time. Essendant is committed to serving resellers that can meet an annual purchase volume, hold a valid resale certificate, ship within the US, and order electronically. Accounts that don’t meet the minimum volume will be closed within six months.

What is Essendant Fulfillment Services (EFS)?
A third-party logistics (3PL) fulfillment service offering DTC, B2B and B2C fulfillment services for product manufacturing and other brands looking for warehousing, fulfillment and logistics support. Is there a monthly minimum shipment volume required to partner with Essendant?
Yes. Merchant business must have a monthly average of 3,000 units shipped to be considered for Essendant Fulfilment Services.
Who maintains ownership of goods?
We require that you, the merchant, maintain ownership of goods throughout the entire process. This is known as the consigned inventory model. You – not Essendant – will own the end-user relationship. Essendant picks, packs and delivers on your behalf.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on activities performed for the merchant. Some examples include but are not limited to:
- Inbound/receiving of your goods
- Storage of goods
- Picking and packaging of your goods
- Shipping of your goods
Can Essendant service business via large marketplace solutions?
Yes. We can accommodate your growing needs by integrating with a number of eCommerce platforms and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and can also customize integrations.
How do I access Essendant’s Customer Portals?
To access Essendant’s customer resources, please visit the Existing Customers page for the quick links. For new account setup for Empower Central or Solutions Central, reach out to your Customer Care department or Essendant Account Manager to obtain the proper account creation forms.

Essendant proactively sources its vendor and product suppliers. We do not accept information for prospective carriers/vendors.
